DANCING WITH THE AMAZING RIANNE

Since the beginning of the Hari ng Negros pageant in Canlaon City, Rianne Barrameda has been the perennial awards presenter. She would gracefully walk on stage and give the trophy or sash to the winner of the award. Everybody would look at her in amazement. One year she even became a talent manager, coaching her candidate to a Top 5 position.

A lot of people have commented that when they first see Rianne Barrameda she is the prettiest person they have ever laid their eyes upon. It is true. But there is more to Rianne that meets the eye.

Hari ng Negros 2006 Mark Xander Fabillar had this to say, "Science has taken Rianne from a he to a she. Yes, Rianne was born a biological male but realized that she was a transgendered person at a very young age. I must admit, this came as a shock to me as well the first time I was introduced to her almost two years ago because aside from the fact that there was no trace of masculinity in her features, she also sounded like a woman."

Last October, Rianne became world famous by beating 23 other transgender women around the country and was crowned Miss Amazing Philippines 2007.

Her face graced a lot of magazines and newspapers and was featured on Reuters, Fox News, MSNBC, and TV Patrol.

Because of her title she was cast as one of the competing beauties on Channel 5's Shall We Dance.

She was in the constant presence of other national beauty title holders and easily fit in.

Shall We Dance was a competition and with her partner, they ruled the dance floor.

Gliding gracefully with utmost precision and sheer elegance.

Not to make her schedule more hectic, she performs every night at the Amazing Philippines Theater at the Film Center, Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex.

The show is, what can I say? Simply amazing.

With costumes, choreography, production value and stage design at par with the world's best.

Rianne is one of the stand outs of the show.

Definitely showing the moves of a Negrense.

And the courage and confidence of a winner.

Rianne has made our Manila trip very memorable.

Introducing us to her many colorful friends.

And entertaining us with stories about her experiences with the Hari ng Negros pageant through the years.

Joining us is one of Rianne's best friends in Manila, Patricia a.k.a. the Singing Bee Champion.

I challenged the Singing Bee to a duel.

While Rianne and Emman caught up with memories of an enchanted city in the sky.

Thank you Rianne for an unforgettable night of bonding and everlasting friendship.

Your beauty inside is always shining through. We miss your laughter here in Canlaon but we know God has greater plans for you there in Manila. Stay the way you are and reach for the stars. We are very proud of you.

Proud to be a Negrense. Forever Hari ng Negros.
