CHASING WATERFALLS

It has always been a tradition in Hari ng Negros to have the first set of pictorials done in many of Canlaon City's untouched waterfalls.

The journey to the waterfalls always begins at the foot of the volcano.

Hiking carefully through high cliffs and ravines.

Athleticism, endurance and agility are required.

But the sacrifice is truly worth it.

Especially after the tired body needs to be reinvigorated.

And fully recharged.

VINCENT CALAPATI (CALATRAVA)

CRUISING THROUGH THE MALL

In a recent visit to SM City Bacolod, we chanced upon some Hari ng Negros alumna and family. Here are some updated pics of them.

Joey Ciocon, Prince of Bacolod 2005, still looking great after 4 years from graduating from Hari.

Orville Cordova, Prince of Talisay City 2008, looking very sporty and fit.

Carlo Treyes, Prince of Talisay 2006 and his wife Iza Grace.

Pearl Einosas, Linay sang Negros 2003 and Hari ng Negros judge in 2004.

A very different and more wholesome Rowell Pajara, Prince of Talisay City 2004.

We are still finalizing the official candidates for Hari ng Negros 2009. Making sure all of them have passed the basic eligibility requirements. Stay tuned for what seems to be one of the most good-looking and competitive batches in Hari history.

Proud to be a Negrense. Forever Hari ng Negros.

DREAMS OF ROYALTY

The official screening of Hari ng Negros 2009 took place last Saturday, March 28 at the Canlaon City Pension House in Canlaon City. Hopefuls came from near and far to be accorded princehood and to compete for the honor to be called the King of Negros.

Miss Bebsy Lamis, Miss Negros Oriental sits as member of the Board of Judges.

Miss Pichina Teves

Mr. Jojo Victorio of the Victo Rio Modeling Agency in Manila.

Negros socialite Manolet Teves.

Hari ng Negros 2008 and Prince of Silay 2008.

The Board of Judges work is not as easy at it looks. Sometimes choosing the official Princes can be grueling.

But in the end compromises have to be made and only the best can be chosen. Manolet Teves, Merilyn Kays and the Chairman of the Board of Judges Mr. Toby Dischoso.
